How do I renew my Push Certificate in SimpleMDM?

To renew your Apple Push Certificate in SimpleMDM

  1. Sign in to your SimpleMDM account.
  2. Navigate to Account > Push Certificate
  3. Click 'Renew'
  4. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen.

When renewing your Push Certificate be sure that you are renewing the existing certificate using the same Apple Account/Apple ID that was used to set it up initially and not uploading a new one. 

Uploading a different Push Certificate will cause any devices already enrolled to stop responding to SimpleMDM until they are re-enrolled, or the original Push Certificate is restored.

If your Push Certificate was created by someone who is no longer with your organization or you have lost access to the Apple Account that created your Push Certificate you can reach out to Apple via the resources at Contact Apple for help with Apple Push Notification service certificates and with proper documentation Apple can migrate Push Certificates to another Apple Account.
