Device Action: Enable and Disable Bluetooth
The Enable Bluetooth and Disable Bluetooth actions allow admins to remotely turn Bluetooth on or off on a managed device. These actions are available for supervised devices running iOS 11.3+ or macOS 10.13.4+.
Supported platforms
- iOS / iPadOS: Requires iOS 11.3 or later. Device must be supervised.
- macOS: Requires macOS 10.13.4 or later. Device must be supervised.
These actions are not available for tvOS or visionOS devices, or for devices enrolled via User Enrollment.
How to enable or disable Bluetooth
- In SimpleMDM, navigate to the device's Device Details page.
- Click the "Actions" menu.
- Select "Enable Bluetooth" or "Disable Bluetooth".
The command will be sent to the device immediately. The Bluetooth setting on the device will change without any user interaction required.
Notes
- The device must be online to receive the command. If offline, the command will be queued and processed the next time the device checks in.
- Both actions require the device to be supervised. Unsupervised devices and User Enrollment devices will not show these options.
